I rarely watch all of the Oscar nominated movies. We all live busy lives. Choices. It’s sad, but I might be the last person in America to see La La Land. If you wait long enough, live in a bubble, nobody can spoil the ending for you. I was glad I was surprised. As the credits rolled, I couldn’t help but wonder, How did this beast of a movie not take home the trophy? Head scratcher. I admit it. I haven’t even seen Moonlight. Hey, there is always tomorrow. If only Emma Stone could wink, turn back time, and then the good folks at Price Waterhouse Coopers could hand the real winner the statue. Oh, wait, maybe that did happen. I’m so confused now.

Here was the dialog from the fight scene (it’s such a great movie moment):

Sebastian: What am I supposed to do? Go back to playing “Jingle Bells” so I can save money for some Shangri-La club no one wants to go to?

A bit later …

Sebastian: Anyway — it’s time to grow up. You know? This is what I’m doing. If you had a problem, I wish you would’ve said something earlier, before I signed on the dotted line.

Mia: You had a dream that you were sticking to, that —

Sebastian: This is the dream!

Mia: This is not your dream.

Well written, the entire script is magical.
