I’m a big believer in planting a garden. If you think about it, a large portion of the world’s pollution can be traced to food transportation. That avocado in the grocery store doesn’t appear by magic alone. There is a significant carbon footprint. So, awhile back I decided to rip out all of my landscaping and make it useful. My raspberry garden is amazing, and I only have to walk outside to pick a pint or two during the spring. I thought I was doing good until I came across Vertical Harvest. This three-story stacked greenhouse utilizes a 1/10 of an acre to grow an annual amount of produce equivalent to 5 acres of traditional agriculture. Yes, this is a concept. But what if it took off? Dare to be great.
